Belinda Howard, B.A. (Hons), Founder/CEO
Belinda has 13 years of corporate experience with Jones Lang Wootton in the fields of Agency, Marketing, Sales and Consultancy. An accomplished musician in her own right, Belinda holds a B.A. Hons in Music from Nottingham University (UK) and currently performs with SAR Philharmonic, the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra and the Island Clarinet Quartet. As concert assistant for the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, Belinda is responsible for looking after all the performing international talent.
Ricky “SPINN”, Founder/Producer
Ricky has worked in event promotion/production and as a DJ/MC for over 17 years, he has a professional sports background and extensive experience in live performance, production and television, with Star TV, RTHK, Hard Rock Café HK, Warner Bros & Channel 7 Australia, JAM Rockit, PIP music festivals and independent record labels.
Chris Collins, Music Director
Born in Hong Kong, Chris studied at Island School and then went on to complete a Bachelor of Music degree in Sydney, becoming proficient in a wide variety of contemporary styles in both guitar and bass guitar. He has played with many of Asia’s finest artists and musicians including Jacky Cheung Hok-yau, Leehom Wang, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and numerous top session musicians; he has supported two international stadium rock acts with his original bands; won competitions with his playing and writing skills and has also built a recording studio to cater to Hong Kong’s ever expanding independent music scene. Notably, Chris was the guitarist on Jacky Cheung’s worldwide “1/2 Century Tour” which was the longest running pop music tour in Asian history at 145 shows with an average of audience size of 30,000 to 40,000 people.
Always happy to share his knowledge, Chris is also an enthusiastic educator who was on staff for the English Schools Foundation (ESF); teaching at West Island School in 2006 and at South Island School from 2009 to 2010. He has been with YRock from the very beginning and is committed to assisting other HK youths achieve their musical ambitions.
Flynn Adams, Bass
Flynn Adams is an accomplished, innovative electric bassist, from Kansas whom is comfortable playing music of different styles such as Blues, Rock, Funk, Country, Jazz, and Latin. Flynn has recorded with or worked with many artists around the world, including Ronnie Baker Brooks, Howard McCrary, Zach Prather, Deborah Coleman, Cash Mc Call, Guy Le Claire, Allen Youngblood, Martha Reeves, Wayman Tisdale, Sister Sledge and many more.
Louise Thoreau, Vocals, Keys
Working professionally since 1971 in clubs, recording studios and major concert venues (including the LA Opening and Closing Olympic Ceremonies). BA in Vocal Performance w/Honors Cal Poly, Post Graduate Studies CSUF, Musical Director for performances of “Little Shop of Horrors”, “The Wiz”, “Seussical”, “Hello Dolly” & “HSM2”. With over 20 years teaching experience both inside and outside the classroom, many of Louise’s students further their studies at a tertiary level, and have gone on to work with Disney Studios, Nickelodeon, Major Motion Pictures, the late Michael Jackson and more. Published Author of a series of young people’s Music Theory books in Chinese and English.
Regan Nicholas, Vocals, Songwriting, DJ
Singer song writer/DJ Regan Nicholas has chilled with some pretty sweet industry connections cutting demo’s with PP Arnold and other cool souls. Couldn’t sit still as a kid so took to body popping and break dancing with dance crew “Beat Rockers” in 1985. Randomly jumped to making beats with DJ Double D then in 1989 turned to “The Future” got signed to a label with callbacks from Polydor Records & Motown.
Rehouven Libine, Guitar
Rehouven graduated with a BA in Classical Guitar from the prestigious Conservatoire de Lausanne – Switzerland after studying under worldwide renown concertist Dagoberto Linhares. He continued his professional studies in a more technical field, but music never left his life or his heart. After playing the classical guitar for many years, Rehouven turned to studying steel string and electrical guitar at Berklee School of Music. He regularly plays live with local musicians and bands here in Hong Kong, and the YRock performers. Rehouven is also one of the Judges at the YRock International Music Challenge.
Guy Le Claire, Guitar and Bass
Guy Le Claire is an acclaimed Hong Kong based Australian guitarist, composer, teacher, soloist, bandleader, Tai Chi Gold Medalist and member of classic Australian band Matt Finish. Guy holds a Certificate of Music from Berklee College of Music in USA and a Diploma of Music from Australian Institute of Music in Sydney. Guy has performed with top jazz artists from Hong Kong, North America and Australia, American Blues artists, Indian Classical musicians and Chinese music instrumentalists.
Chris Carpio, Keys, Songwriting
Chris is a jazz and pop pianist who has performed in venues across Asia since he was 11. Since 2008, Chris has been entertaining audiences with his music at the Grand Hyatt’s Tiffin Lounge. Chris’s performances during his high school years include the Concert in the Park in 2007, co-hosted by the HK Cultural and Leisure Services Department and the Philippine Consulate General and the Spring Music Festival at Grappas Cellar in 2008. In 2005, Chris founded the Illegal Immigrants – a rock band which gained huge popularity performing regularly at YRock gigs throughout 2005-6, they later went on to win the Warehouse Teenage Band Competition in both 2007 and 2008. Chris was awarded Best Keyboardist award in the same competition in 2007. Their original music was chosen by YRock to be set for orchestra where they performed at CLOCK@ Cyberport in 2007 with City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. The band was victorious for three consecutive years in the KGV Lion Rock Battle of the Bands. The Illegal Immigrants disbanded in 2010. In addition to his regular stint at the Grand Hyatt, Chris has performed at numerous other events including the Lifeline Express Charity Ball, Noblesse Oblige, and the Grand Hyatt 20th Anniversary Party in 2009.
Vuk Mikic, Media
Born in 1990, Vuk has lived in different parts of the world and came to Hong Kong in 1997 where he finished primary and high school. During that time he played in several bands and composed music with his band mates. He went on to complete a B.A. in television production in Australia from 2009-11 which included filming dramas, music videos, live sports and news coverage in the studio and on location as well as filming his own commercials. Vuk is back in Hong Kong doing freelance work related to film/tv production and assisting YRock with its event filming and website
